Smile Café was born from a simple place—a love for cooking, family, and caring for others through food.

At the heart of Smile Café is Rasa, the soul behind everything we create. Cooking has always been her way of showing love. Growing up in Thailand, food was never just about eating—it was about family, togetherness, and taking care of the people you love. Meals were shared moments, prepared with intention and heart.

After moving to America, Rasa’s love for cooking continued to grow, especially in baking. Over time, she developed a passion for desserts that are not overly sweet, yet still comforting and delicious. This balance—flavorful, thoughtful, and never too much—has become a signature of Smile Café. While desserts have become a focus, her love for traditional Thai food remains close to her heart, and we look forward to sharing those flavors in the future as our menu expands.

Smile Café is also a reflection of our family. We’ve grown together as Rasa, Jeremiah, our son Joseph Phukhao Bustos, and our two dogs, Luffy and Ralph. Along the way, our faith in Jesus has become the foundation of everything we do. We believe in serving with humility, love, and purpose, and that belief shapes how we cook, serve, and care for our community.

Right now, Smile Café operates through online and in-person orders, allowing us to focus on quality, intention, and connection. As we look ahead, we’re excited about the future—opening a physical location, expanding our menu, offering catering services, and growing our product selection. No matter how much we grow, our heart will remain the same.
